my theme for 2025
I saw Jason’s post about having a theme for your year instead of rigid rules and resolutions. I already wrote some wishes for 2025, but the post made me think about what my theme this year is.
On one hand, I feel a bit timid. I had most of last year unexpectedly ripped away from me due to illness and I’m scared of it happening again.
On the other hand, I am fairly certain my theme this year is learning.
- After having to slow down and survive last year, I’m picking up my usual university workload again.
- I’m also enrolled in a 1,5 year class to become a data protection officer and it will start in April.
- I’m still invested in finishing The Odin Project and also learning Rust.
- I feel passionate and inspired to create in ways that are new to me or need me to build upon my existing skills. I’m itching to be more creative with my coding, create better pixel art, try out making music and making little games in RPG Maker and Decker. All of these require learning new things.
Time will tell how much I will manage to do, but I remain optimistic and open about anything that might happen, and I’m okay with just managing a fraction of it all :)
