recent wins III
Finally a recent wins post again! I’ve struggled a lot in between but things are looking up.
- It’s the first month of the semester and I am already done with more than 50% of the entire course work I have to do because I’ve been working hard at it.
- My yearly assessment at work went great and I was praised both for my work performance and who I am outside of that.
- I ordered and received cute bandaids with hearts on them for my biweekly injections.
- I think the injections are slowly working. My Crohn’s symptoms are almost fully gone, my joint pain and stiffness is getting better and as a surprise side effect, it seems to have eliminated my endometriosis which made my period entirely pain-free and without the usual side effects1. Hope it stays.
- I get bursts of energy again and wanna go outside, and do that more often now. I’m less in bed now and more at my desk.
- I sleep better.
- I’ve been playing many good games lately, giving and receiving kindness in Kind Words 2 especially.
- My fianceé has recently cooked many amazing meals that are my favorite now, like her lasagna and pasta bake or her version of the crunchwrap supreme. It also speaks volumes that I can enjoy these foods without dire consequences now.
- I’ve been in the bath tub more often, with a bath bomb, relaxing and watching stuff.

Usually periods force me to call in sick and stay in bed because of pain, bloating, swelling, sweating, nausea, increased joint pain and Crohn’s symptoms etc. but now I felt completely normal. There are indeed studies where TNF blockers successfully treat baboons with endometriosis, so yay?↩
