recent wins VII: exams, fitness, fashion, food
Recent wins is a series where I quickly note what went right recently and what I am grateful for.
- I’m done with all my exams and I’m happy with what I put out. Still waiting for results but I’m okay with whatever happens.
- Tried out two new restaurants recently and it was a good experience; I tend to go less and less to restaurants because of weird things like cash-only, time limit, difficulty reserving a table or no reservations possible, but these were good.
- Fiancée gave me the Ace Attorney trilogy as a gift! And I also had fun playing Wanderstop.
- I’ve been consistent with my exercise and the fittest I’ve been in a year.
- I made it to the forest lake more often.
- I have a lot of fun filling my notebook every day! Some entries are plain, others have some designs. I back them up as a blog post every now and then but don’t publish them on the Bearblog feed. I may properly scan it all one day and publish it on my itch.io.
- I found new music that I like; Delilah Bon, Dope Saint Jude, Dizzy Fae, Jades Goudreault and more.
- After I was dressing for comfort and hiding my body and just existing while I was sick, I decided I’m now well enough that I should get back to dressing how I actually want to look like. I made more of an effort now to consciously pick my outfits to be more stylish and form fitting, wore more color, more jewelry, and put on wigs. Made me feel better, like I’m finally not in this sickness cocoon anymore where I walk around like a black fluffy blob in a beanie. I still do sometimes for errands, but not everything.
- It’s been difficult reintegrating into the office again after being gone for months, but after a little while I now have a better connection to my coworkers again and we talk a lot.
- My wedding date is set. 3rd May!
- I got a great matcha recommendation by Yen and I love it.
- Reworked some parts of my blog (garden, tags, added pics of my paintings to the gallery, fixed delayed theme loading thanks to a tip from Herman).
Btw, if you can only read this on the RSS feed or the default Bearblog URL, my custom domains currently seem to have an issue... it also affects my matcha blog on here.
