One day when I went to the pharmacy to pick up medications during my bad Crohn's disease flareup, I saw a shelf with these Warmies. I was thinking of getting a plushie for my lap during work for a while now, and that hog looked so cute. Hogs aren't even any favorite animal of mine, I feel neutral about them, but somehow that one spoke to me. I chose not to buy and went home, but regretted it. I couldn't stop thinking about the cute plushie. The only other plushies I have is my fiancée's Blåhaj called Shork and my plushie horse Pepper that I got when I was 9. I'm not really a plushie person and I don't collect them.

So some time afterward, I confided in my fiancée about the boar and how special and cute he looked and that I wanna go get him next time at the pharmacy. I don't know how much time passed, but one day, she came home and had a surprise for me: It was the boar. The correct one, even, since there were multiple. I think his "siblings" look pretty ugly! Whenever I see another one, I'm so glad I got the pretty one.

I was so happy!! It had been less than a year since my dog had died, and I was struggling for months with Crohn's and stuck at home a lot, so I really needed this, and later I needed him when I got out more again.

We didn't immediately think of a name. One day I messaged my fiancée:

And so it was decided.

He went on to become somewhat of an icon in our lives. We even have a Discord emoji of him:

Nowadays I usually don't take him to work, but I get funny updates throughout the work day or I come home to cute scenes:

And people are usually fans when they meet him:

He's usually on my desk or next to me in bed.
