ambitious summer
My new semester has finally started and I decided it's going to be an ambitious one. I'm okay if I end up managing less, but at least I tried. Aim at the moon, land in the stars kind of thing :)
For my part time law degree, I enrolled in less than usual this semester so I can fully focus on getting my data protection law certificate. That one is intended to be a wholly separate, 3 semester part time course, but you have access to all materials and exams from the get-go and it looks manageable enough; so I am going to try and pass all 6 required exams (intended are passing 2 per semester) in the first semester, saving an entire year. If I don't pass or am not happy with a grade, I can try again and improve the next semester. :)
So I have 6 exams, a variety of (optional, but that I don't want to miss) online seminars, and a rhetoric class from my law degree that requires me to write a speech and record myself holding it (cringe) in August to pass.
I made a little timetable to keep track of the seminar dates and the exam hand-in periods:
I am almost done with 1 of 3 total modules in my cert class, so I am currently ahead. I don't need to look at my rhetoric materials until July. First online seminar starts 2 days after I get married (wow). Other than that, things are usually very quiet around June/July at my full time work, which helps.
I should probably not vanish from this blog during that time (I always have something to say, even if it's at midnight in bed in the notes app); so far I see no reason why things would change or become significantly quieter. We'll see :) Encouragement is always appreciated.
Edit: I ended up working through the entire data protection law material in April, and discovered that Rhetoric class is actually extremely little, so I enrolled in one more elective (Consentoriented Conflict Resolution!)
