new year new digital stuff.. and more
Since my last blog post, I've been really focused on resting, having fun, playing a lot of games, studying for my law degree, exercising and visiting friends and family.
But I did squeeze in some interesting bits:
- I've finally fully wiped my harddrive and did a clean install of EndeavourOS after my successful dualboot and chaotic transition to kicking Windows off. I am super happy with this and everything runs flawlessly. I feel like my understanding of it all has definitely improved tenfold over the last few months of using Linux and being forced to use the terminal.
- I've decided to consolidate and change some of my websites into one, starting anew with a new host; that meant migrating from neocities to nekoweb by Dimden. Still waiting on transferring my domain, so that one still points to neocities, which then redirects.
- I've finished, animated and finally used a pixel graphic for the landing page that I had started months ago, updated almost all of the pages, improved responsiveness, edited most of the terminal interface information and added more secret commands.
- I've decided I will let my omg.lol account expire and migrated my /now page to this blog. It was a cool experiment, but I prefer having as little amount of services and logins as possible and ultimately did not use it much.
- I set up VSCode for Rust programming, but haven't started yet.
What's currently sucking up most of my time are more responsibilities at my fulltime job plus health issues that rob my energy and focus. I am unfortunately sipping on a large beverage of Moviprep as I am typing this because I am going through the process of confirming a suspected Crohn's Disease diagnosis. Once that is done and whatever it is is treated, I hope I finally have more space for in-depth Rust learning which I have been itching to do, among other tech things. :)
